Paolo is a scientist in the LBNL
Computational Research Division. His research interests include software architectures and best development practices for large scientific collaborations, heterogeneous computing architectures, neuromorphic computing, real-time pattern recognition, science-aware training and validation of data-driven algorithms.
Currently is the Level 1 Manager of US ATLAS Computing and Software Operations. He is also the Principal Investigator (PI) of DOE HEP.TrkX pilot project dedicated to exploring data-driven Pattern Recognition techniques for LHC particle tracking.
